The Silent Killer: Fighting Cardiovascular Disease in Pakistan
The leading cause of death worldwide is not car accidents or plane crashes — it is cardiovascular disease. South Asians, including Pakistanis, are genetically more likely to develop heart disease at a younger age than other ethnic groups. Rehmat-O-Noor has partnered with Humanity Initiative, a non-profit of medical students and healthcare professionals, to bring prevention, early detection, and treatment sponsorship to those who need it most.
Our intern Baneen Fatima raised $253 through bake sales to fund cardiovascular treatment for those who cannot afford it.

Every Child Deserves to Read: Pakistan's Literacy Crisis
20 million Pakistani children aged 5–16 are out of school. Over half are between 5–9 years old — the most critical window for brain development. Only 35% attain basic literacy by age 9. Rehmat-O-Noor, with partner TAKMIL, is fighting to change these numbers — one school, one child, one future at a time.
